Freedom And My Own Master

My anguish is like an unquenchable ablaze
A caution not to boost that fire again to outlive Hades

Lingering barred in its frozen dungeon
Wrapping my spirit as a cell keeps a pigeon

Now I must recoil to shield the remaining shattered pieces
Love has gone, quicker than I could ever surmises

The sun won't shine, hummingbirds sang in harmony
Sorrow is like the tune of a great rhapsody

At times subtle, other times would rise to a splurt
One who can take notice of the impish calling of my heart

All mementoes adjoined to the lost one will evolve bitter-sweet
My blood had become tar struggled to keep a steady beat

When the phrases would not attain, the tears did
Something is amiss, so stupid

The hurt would strike me out of nowhere, doubling me crazy
My insides are sweltering with frenzy

The sun still shines in the sky, but not for me
The birds sing in cascades of the hymn, but not for me

As I stroll, it is with a mantle of bliss, not feeling sorry
No graveside I can languish over, there isn't even a casket to bury

What shudders in my soul before is a multitude of inflamed muscle
A ton of crushed bones, blazing flesh, and a slivered pinnacle

All woes and heartaches simply disappear
I am at liberty! no longer a pawn, I am now my own master!

God speed,
