Etymology: Native Nivukti. Retains its old, un-eroded form.
Definition: A shallow, rectangular trencher carved from dense hardwood or could be petrified wood. Designed with thick, low profile walls and a tapered handle extending from the short edge. The hymru offers a stable grip on uneven wilderness terrain and serves for holding hard rations or thick camp stews.
Here is how I made it
The rectangular shape is my ideal design so at this conceptualization phase the shape should not be a compromise as well as the thick low profile walls
When it came to choosing the colors for the base I used the same brown tones for the bokka on my previous drawing to make them look coherent. On this phase of the drawing I am still debating whether the outer walls are like live edge or carved with clean textures.
Well, I chose something that looks like a found object like this piece of wood that required little polishing. There is raw and rough edges and smooth surfaces to balance out the textures
Just like how I made the bokka the final touches are highlights and shadows which are evident on the finished drawing. This bowl needs a loop or thread for hanging maybe I will do that next time but for now I am happy with what came out
Added a new word to my list of scouts vocabulary. It will take time to flesh out my conlang but one word and one image added is a step towards that end. Hope you enjoyed reading and learning about this creative journey wish me more luck to finish this
