Pandemic Covid-19 [Coronavirus] has become an alert for residents in any hemisphere, including the province of Aceh, Indonesia. Since the discovery of a positive co-19 case in the western tip of the island of Sumatra, Indonesia on March 26, the economic condition of the people seemed to be displaced by the pandemic wave.

The enactment of social distancing / limiting public space, staying at home and even now is even more extreme - curfew by the local government is whipping the economy of the lower class.

The Government of Aceh imposed a semi lockdown not unreasonable, the limitation of the first public space was imposed on March 15, 2020, by taking a crucial policy, which is to close all teaching and learning activities in schools, in line with the central government which also has abolished the National Examination in 2020 according to the decision latest Minister of Education and Culture [Minister of Education and Culture] Nadiem Makarim.

The first positive co-19 case in our province erupted this week, a patient in care (PDP) who died last week was finally found to be positive co-19 after the authorities accepted the results of the throat swaps of patients who had been examined in the capital Jakarta.

This week the Government of Aceh through the Covid-19 provincial control group announced that there were at least 4 positive patients in the province.

Community awareness was increased, now not only social distancing, a number of community centers began to be closed. Coffee shops, shopping malls, airports, bus terminals, and even ports are a worrying place, the government is now placing security forces there to minimize the movement of the outermost communities from the province of Aceh who want to enter.

This, of course, greatly impacts community activities, especially those who depend on their livelihoods for daily income, such as us traders. We were devastated by the current conditions that occurred in the province of Aceh.

Turnover dropped dramatically, even to cut production costs not a few businesses choose to temporarily close. a number of new regulations are applied very detrimental to traders, but it is all done in order to prevent the spread of the corona virus which continues to get worse every day.

The following is one of the most recent conditions that I was able to capture in one of the well-known food stalls in our city, they run the rules imposed by the local government. There is no crowd activity, they only allow visitors to order take away / wrap every meal you want to enjoy.

The current condition is certainly very inversely proportional to the previous few days, coincidentally I also visited here last week to enjoy the food here. The atmosphere of the crowd was still obvious, there was no social distancing, or take away / wrap message as I witnessed today. Here are some pictures a week ago when I and my colleague enjoyed our local specialties here, Nasi Sate.

Everyday now I just stay at home, no longer trading. We are now waiting for further instructions from the local government, this condition is indeed a dilemma, especially in the next three weeks we as Muslims will enter the month of Ramadan.

To fill my spare time during independent quarantine at home, I just play the cellphone camera to get rid of the boredom. There is nothing to do but stay at home and maintain personal and family health.
