  1. You do not have to explain your life situation to anyone.
If you live in a civil marriage, or you move from one rented apartment to another, or live with your parents, although you have not been there for twenty years already - you do not have to report to anyone why you do this, and not otherwise. If you are fully aware of your life situation, it means that you have your own reasons to keep it that way, and they do not concern anyone.

  2. You do not have to explain to anyone your life priorities.
You have your own thoughts about what can be done for the comfort and happiness of your loved ones and yourself - that's your main priority. Since we are all unique individuals with different values, dreams and aspirations, the priorities of one person will invariably differ from the priorities of the other. You determine your own, and you should not account to anyone.

  3. You do not have to apologize if you are not sorry.
If you do not regret your actions, still feel that someone was wrong, or do not really need forgiveness, you should not apologize. Many people try to apologize too quickly to quickly heal wounds that are not yet ready for such "treatment." This can only worsen the situation. You really do not need to apologize if you do not feel guilty.

  4. You are not obligated to justify anyone for the time spent alone.
Many people are afraid to be known as "rude", "antisocial", "arrogant" if they cancel plans or refuse invitations because they need some time to be alone with them to relax, "reboot" or just read a good book. In fact, such lonely time-outs are a perfectly normal practice, necessary for most of us. Take them confidently and do not bother about the explanations.

  5. You do not have to agree with anyone's personal beliefs.
Simply because someone passionately talks about their beliefs, one does not have to sit and nod in approval of everything. If you do not share their ideas, it's unfair to yourself and others to pretend that you agree with them. It's better to calmly object to them than to accumulate disapproval and disappointment.

  6. You do not have to say "Yes".
You have every right to say "No" if there is no good reason for consent. The greatest success in all spheres is achieved by people who have mastered the art of giving up everything that is not their priority. Recognize the kindness of other people and be grateful, but safely say "No" to everything that distracts your attention from the main goals.

  7. You do not have to justify yourself for your appearance.
You can be slim or full, high or not very, pretty or ordinary, but you do not have to explain to anyone why you look that way. Your appearance is solely your business, here you owe only yourself. Do not let the appearance determine your self-esteem.

  8. You do not have to explain to anyone your eating habits.
There are certain foods that you simply do not like for a variety of reasons - from taste qualities to their impact on your health. If someone bothers you with the question of why you eat (or do not eat) these or other foods, do not pay attention to it and say that you feel good eating that way.

  9. You do not have to report to anyone about your sex life.
If you are in close relationship with an adult by mutual agreement, then nobody is concerned, where, how and when you arrange your sex life. You can wait for marriage, engage in casual relationships and even experiment with a man of the same sex with you - as long as you enjoy it - it's entirely up to you.

  10. You do not have to explain to anyone your career or personal choice.
Sometimes circumstances force us to choose between work and personal life. This decision is not always easy, and you can eventually choose a job - not because you do not care about your family, but because this choice will give you security in the future. In any case, you do not have to explain to others why you preferred a profession (or vice versa), if you are sure that you are doing everything the way you want.

  11. You do not have to explain your political or religious views.
If you are a Democrat, a Republican, a Catholic, a Protestant or a Muslim - this is your personal choice. You do not have to explain your faith. When someone can not accept you as you are, it's his problem, not yours.

  12. You do not have to explain why you are alone.
Married or not, married or not, should not concern anyone but you. Loneliness is not a personality disorder. You are free to choose whether to enter into a relationship or not. Just remember: you are not your marital status. Do not need to glue yourself and other useless social labels.
