Sometimes I feel like the night is the only time of day that asks nothing of me.
During the day, I have to be present, respond, rush around, be productive... but once midnight hits, the world seems to turn down the volume. There's an almost sacred calm in watching the streetlights from the window when almost everyone else has gone to sleep.
On one hand, it brings me peace, but on the other... I won't lie, sometimes the night feels heavy. When everything goes quiet, the thoughts you dodge during the day come creeping back without asking for permission. It's when I remember things from the past, second-guess decisions, or just lie there staring at the ceiling, wondering what tomorrow holds.
I guess that's why it feels so human to me. The day belongs to everyone else, but the night—with its silence, its doubts, and its quiet—is entirely ours.

It’s a pleasure to share my thoughts; I hope you enjoy them. If you do, please leave a comment and share your opinion—I’d love to hear from you! 😘
