The truth is, something really strange happens to me every week. On Friday around six in the evening, I feel invincible—as if forty-eight hours were an entire universe where I’d have time to rest, read, see friends, clean the house, and even pick up a new hobby.
Then Saturday arrives, and if I’m lucky, I manage to slow my mind down. I love that morning coffee moment when there’s nowhere I have to be. For a couple of hours, the clock stops putting on the pressure. But Sunday afternoon... ah, Sunday. It has that slightly melancholic air, where you start thinking about the emails you need to send tomorrow or the alarm that’s going to go off early.
Over the years, I’ve realized that we put too much pressure on ourselves, even on weekends. We want them to be "perfect" or try to squeeze every last second out of them, and in the end, we get stressed about not having rested "properly."
For me, a good weekend is no longer one packed with incredible plans; it’s one where I manage to switch off my mind for a while, laugh with someone I love, and remember who I am when I’m not answering messages or sticking to a schedule. At the end of the day, those two days aren't just a reward for working—they are real life happening while the rest of the world pauses for a moment.
