Hello everyone, blessings to you all. Today I'm going to show you the drawing I made of the card from the game E266 Oak Violin. This is a very beautiful violin, with classic wood colors. As the name suggests, it's made of oak, which means it's a very durable and robust violin. It's an acoustic violin, like the ones we've seen in previous drawings. By acoustic, I mean that it creates its sounds with its own resonance; it's not electric.
You can see a detail that demonstrates this: the musical note-shaped embellishments on top aren't just stickers. They're actually openings carved into the oak so that air can flow in and out of the violin's cavity. That's why it creates its sounds largely with this internal resonating chamber. Isn't that interesting? I'm going to leave you with a video of a song played on an acoustic violin; you'll see how beautiful it sounds, and then I'll show you today's drawing.
Well then, everyone, let's get to the drawing, which I'm sure you're all here because you want to see it. Okay, to begin, I designed the card's frame, in this case just the inner one, because as you know, I haven't been drawing the whole card for a while now; it's just the instrument. But I like to keep the inside frame of each card; it looks nicer that way. See how it turned out.
After drawing the frame, I drew the violin's neck and then the S-shaped, wavy body, very similar to a guitar's. Here you can see how it turned out.
In the details section, I drew the pegbox and its respective tuning pegs on the neck. And on top of the body, I drew the string extenders and the other embellishments that the violin on the card has. I drew it in such a way that it looked similar.
Now, as always, comes the most fun part. In this case, I used purple as the main color for the background because it seemed appropriate. And a red color for the frame. I drew the inner background in various shades of blue. The violin was oak and brown wood. It would be good if you saw it for yourselves, so you can appreciate all the details.
In the last step, I drew the strings and a missing fret. Now the violin is finished.
