Greetings and blessings to all my friends in Rising Star and the entire Hive community. Today, I am very pleased to present a new drawing, inspired—as is my custom—by one of the beautiful cards from the game. For today, I’ve chosen a card that doesn’t belong to the "instruments" category, which is the section I usually draw from; I wanted something a bit different. That is why I selected the "RISKY WHISKEY" card. As you can see, this card doesn’t have an identification number because it’s part of the "Boost" card set. Specifically, it’s used to temporarily increase your "drunk fans"—which are very useful for reaching the fan count required for certain missions.
It can also increase the amount of "ego" generated by missions. It was a lot of fun to paint the whiskey bottle, especially with its amusing label. I’ll walk you through the entire process so you can see how the drawing came together—it should be quite entertaining! Let’s get straight to it. First, I created the inner frame of the card, using the classic style I typically employ.
After setting up the frame, I drew the central, rectangular section of the bottle. Next, I sketched out the rest of the bottle’s structure, including the base and the "shoulders." I also added a few internal lines to define the space, which makes the coloring process much easier later on. Take a look at how it turned out.
In the third step, I added several internal divisions within the bottle. My goal was to create distinct areas, making it simpler to fill them in with color later. Here is the completed line-art sketch.
Now for the most enjoyable part of the process: the coloring! I won’t bore you with every single detail, but to summarize: I started by painting the background a bold orange—a color that reflects both the card’s design and the hue of the drink itself. From there, I moved on to paint the remaining details. The last detail I painted was the front label. For the sides, I used a geometric shape that resembled the one on the original card. The skull is actually an emoji I added; I thought it looked quite nice and served as a good imitation of the one on the original card. And instead of using the mysterious symbol seen on the original card's label, I opted for a radioactive symbol—I thought that was funny. Here is the whole thing.
And finally, to wrap things up, here is the finished drawing. I hope you enjoyed it! See you in the next one—let me know what you think. Best wishes and blessings to you all. Have an excellent day!
