Our homemade pies look amazing! These pithas reflect the traditional food patterns of the village and the beauty of the home environment. These are probably types like vapha pitha or chitai pitha, which are made with rice flour and coconut sweet filling.
The smooth and shiny texture of the pitas suggests that they are prepared to perfection. These are usually specially prepared during winters, as the fun of smoky hot pies increases in winters.
The joy that comes when the whole family sits together to make pitha is a part of our tradition.
A great way to showcase our heritage and culture to others.
