Hello, friends especially foodies!

Yesterday i accompanied mom to go to the hospital, her routine internist control and before had checked her glucose blood. After finished we were so hungry, the hospital luckily was located not far from a modest but quite popular padangnese restaurant.

Maybe a question popped out in your mind, why i said in the title that it was a real padangnese brunch that we had? It was because the owner who cooked the padangnese dishes there, came from Padang. Even all of the workers there, came from Padang. Padang is a city in West Sumatra. So no wonder the taste of the food here was still original which was rich in authentic spices.. Now enough with the prologue, let's go straight to the point!

The Restaurant's Outlook

Here how the modest restaurant looked

It always has customers, many even bought it for the takeaways.

The Choices of the Dishes

You could choose many of the dishes they sold

20220313_145922.jpg

Their authentic beef rendang, beef dendeng, beef lung, gulai egg, fried chicken, potato fritter, fried fish, fried egg, cincang, gulai jackfruit, cassava leaves.. they also had balado eggplant, balado shrimp, jengkol balado, potato balado, roasted fish and many others. At the back they still had some of their dishes, freshly cooked..

Yesterday unfortunately the owner was not there, she went to the other city because she needed to attend her family occasion. Ok, let's check out how the taste and flavour of the dishes there.. still they tasted delicious like it usually? Once the owner went to Padang for few weeks and the taste of the dishes there ruinned.. what about yesterday, you would find it out soon..

Our Brunch

Here was how our brunch looked

The Taste & Flavour

Now i would like to share about the taste and the flavour of each dish we had, started from mine.

20220313_150246.jpg

I had their
Gulai egg - savory flavour
Balado shrimp - it had a complete flavour of savory, sweet, sour and also spicy. The shrimps were small but so fresh. Tasty!
Green chilli paste - spicy and sour

Both mom and i had the same
Gulai Jackfruit - light savory flavour, soft texture
Fried cow's skin chips - crunchy but not hard, savory and fresh. Delicious!

Mom had her favorite
Beef Rendang - Rich in spices, it had savory spicy with soft texture. It was so tasty too!
Potato Fritter - made from good quality potato, it had soft crispy made from egg skin. It had savory flavour but it was less savory than the rendang.

So our brunch was so tasty and delicious too, authentic and rich in spices.

The Dining Area

Before i forget, i would like to show their modest dining area. It only had few tables without any air conditioners.

The Price

For all the food we had we paid 47K IDR or just around 3.3 USD. An affordable price for two i think. How do you think of it? Here you needed to pay by money, no debit cards or online payment availables. They also didn't give any receipts too.

So wanna try the REAL Padangnese dishes too?
