Have you ever been to Indonesia? Indonesia has many authentic food, beverage, snack and many things to enjoy. Have you ever tried cendol? Cendol is an authentic Javanese (island in Indonesia, where Jakarta also stands) dessert that contains droplets of green rice flour jelly (traditionally made from “suji leaves” for the green colour), coconut milk and palm sugar syrup. The Cendol usually has sweet but a bit savory (comes from the coconut milk).
The Cendol which could be taken away, sold in a small food stall in LG floor of Blok M Plaza, South Jakarta. The name was Cendol King.
The stall was small but neat and it also had some chairs for us to wait for all the cendol ingredients to be put together.
The menu that they provided was only cendol.
But they offered some modification, with jackfruit, durian or any other toppings.
The waiter prepared the cendol
She usually used 2 small cups palm sugar for the regular glass. What we bought was a regular original glass of cendol.
This was our first time to buy cendol here, mom likes cendol and several times we passed through this stall but hadn’t tried it. Then we bought it, and took it away.
The flavor was sweet and the leaves from cendol tasted so fresh. Mom also asked a bit more coconut milk that made it savory too. Overall, the cendol was delicious. You should try it, Indonesianese Cendol!
