Hello, friends especially needleworkers or DIY ers!

Back with me, like I always say, what I love about Sunday, I usually have some free times to my hobby, crafting. This time I got an idea to make a cute avocado bag charm, and I am very satisfied with the result. And good thing is it didn’t spend much time, so you could also try it at home, it would be easy and fun.

Required Skills:

• Whipped stitch
• French knot
• Back stitch
• Blanket Stitch

Materials & Things Needed:

• Unused thick paper
• A marker or anything to draw
• Scissors, here I used two kind of it, one paper scissors for larger thing while for the smaller things I used my small craft scissors
• Felt fabrics in green, soft green, soft pink, and brown
• Water erasable marker, you could use any color you like, here I used the blue one
• Embroidery floss in soft pink, brown, soft green, green, and black
• Sewing needle
• Bag hook or any keychain you have at home
• Pink fabric ribbon, you could use any other colors you like
• Dacron or cotton balls for the filling

Easy steps how to:

1ST

I drew the pattern of avocado on a piece of unused paper with my black marker. To make sure it was symmetric, I folded it in the middle then cut it. After that I copied them to the green felt fabric. I made two of it.

2ND

After that, I cut off the outer part of my pattern, then the smaller one, I copied on my soft green felt. Then, I cut it off, only one of it needed. Then I cut of a circle of the brown felt. Two small circles of soft pink for the cheeks. Ta da, here were the pieces I made.

3RD

Next, I whipped stitch two of the soft pink circles for the cheeks on the soft green felt. Then the circle brown below. I also used the whipped stitch this time. For all the whipped stitch I used two strands of the floss. After that, I used six strands of black floss to French knot the eyes. Then I back stitched the mouth with two strands of the green floss. Now the front part is finished. You could see that the avocado has two cute eyes, a mouth with two chubby cheeks plus a big brown seed. For this front part, I whipped stitch it with the green back.

4TH

After that, before finished with the whipped stitch it, I prepared the hook with the pink ribbon, then sew it behind the green front part.

5TH

Then, I continued it and did the blanket stitch to the front part of green fabric. Fill some Dacron in it. After that I closed it. And voile, this cute avocado bag charm is now ready.
