Hello, friends especially DIY ers!
Last night I just finished this cute cat 3D card. This cat and ball was inspired by the cute behavior of cats, which like to catch sphere objects. This 3D card actually was an easy craft to be a wishing card for cat lovers. Let’s check how I made it.
Project Time: approximately 4 hours
Difficulty: Easy
Materials & things needed:
- A4 book cover paper in light green
- Pencil
- Paper scissors and Craft scissors
- Compass
- 70 gram A4 paper in light blue and light pink
- Construction paper in yellow and orange
- Ruler
- Eraser
- Paper punch
- Color pencil in grey and light grey
- 0.2 drawing pen
- Glue stick
- Double sided tape
How to make it:
1ST
I folded the green book cover in the middle. So I got the background for the card, I used this color because cats love to play on grass. Then I made two circles with the compass on the soft blue paper, one was larger than the other. I also made the tail like shape. All cut off.
2ND
Then, I drew the cat’s ears. Cut them off. I then folded a bit of its’ bottom to the back. I then made two front feet then also folded a bit of their bottom. I also made two back feet.
3RD
After that, I cut the paws with soft pink color. Punched some circles to compete it like below.
4TH
Next, I cut the small pink nose, pasted it on the smaller circle. Then I made the smiling lips with grey color pencil, also the whiskers with soft grey pencil. I also drew the eyes with eye lashes then bolded it with the drawing pen. I then bolded once more the whiskers then the face part was well done.
5TH
I also cut the pink paper for the area inside ears. Then prepare the cat’s ball by using 1 cm width of the yellow and orange paper. Cut them off.
6TH
I then made the ring with the paper like below, started from the orange one, then yellow, repeat.
7TH
Next I pasted the cats’ body parts to the soft green paper. Started from the tail, two front feet then body and also face with two ears.
8TH
I also pasted the 3D ball I made, it was actually like a rattan or plastic ball with lots of holes on it. I pasted it on the top of the cat’s body and also I pasted the two back feet. VOILA, the cat card was finished.
Isn’t it cute?
