Hello, friends especially needleworkers!

Today i would like to share the project i made yesterday, like usually I makes crafts on Sunday, and yesterday I made a cute baby bird, it would be proper as nursery décor, children room and also your bedroom.

Project Time: approximately 3-4 hours

Difficulty: Medium

Skills Needed:

• running stitch
• french knot

---

Materials & things needed:

• unused brochure for the pattern
• marker or any pen to draw
• craft scissors
• felt fabrics in crème, medium brown, and soft green
• sewing needle
• embroidery floss
• yarn in soft brown
• polyester filling material/Dacron
• small brown button

How to make it:

1ST

I drew the bird pattern on the brochure with the marker. Also I made a small heart with it. Then I cut them off, to make the heart symmetric I folded the paper before I cut it off.

2ND

Then, I copied them to the felt I used brown for the wings. I used crème for the heart. Then I cut the brown wings off.

3RD

After that, I did the running stitch to join the wings together. Before I closed it, I had put the dacron inside. Then I sew it to the front green body part with the small button on the top.

4TH

Then, I did the french knot with double black floss for the small eye.

5TH

I cut the brown yarn to hang the bird. Then I slipped it to the bodu part then did the running stitch around the body. I also didn’t forget to slip the small beak too. Before close it I put the dacron inside as the filling, like what I did to the wing. Last, I added the small heart on the top, to join the front and back part also I did the running stitch.

VOILA, now this sweet baby bird is finished. It could be hang anywhere I wanted and you would be happy to see it around.
