Man, it seems like my purple punch and bubblegum plants have been flowering forever. Two days ago, I gave them their final watering and turned the lights off. During that time, they fattened up a little bit more as they drew out all the nutrients that were left in the soil.

The purple punch has some of the best looking buds I have ever grown. They are super frosty and have such a perfect shape to them. They are going to be extremely easy to trim in about a week.

The bubblegum is a lot fatter than the purple punch and has some more sugar leaf growth on the buds, but they should be pretty simple to trim as well.

Both of the plants have such a unique smell to them and the whole grow room smells amazing right now. During their time in the dark, they really started to emit an amazing aroma. The smell is just going to continue to get stronger now that they are cut and hanging.

I recently started drying by hanging the full plant instead of snipping the branches off and hanging the branches individually. This has helped to get a more even dry across the whole plant and it has also supposed to continue to feed some nutrients into the buds from the stem. My last two plants that I have done this with have been really good, so I think there are some real benefits to drying it like this.

I have the plants in the dark tent along with my humidifier set to 55%, which should help to really dry these plants at a decent pace. When I first started growing, I remember my plants being dry and ready to trim in just like 3-4 days, which is way too fast. I would also wet trim back then, which I have stopped doing. Hanging the plant whole and not trimming anything during the drying process helps to create a nice cocoon around the buds as the larger fan leaves and sugar leaves droop over the buds, helping to keep them from drying too quickly.

I am super excited to try the purple punch. It has such an amazing smell that is just like fruit punch Kool-Aid. I already know the bubblegum is going to be amazing. I think this bubblegum is going to be my best one yet though and I can't wait. While these are drying, I will be preparing for my next grow by getting some more supplies and then cleaning my tent and pots thoroughly. It will be nice to have a break for about a week.
