Hey guys, Neoxian Game Master here. I’m sure everyone is hyped about this weekend’s game. Sorry about making you all wait this long for the announcement. Planning was a bit slow cos my mind has been dull recently because there’s been a lot going on with me.
Anyways, I mentioned the Neoxian Game Night in one of my recent Hive posts and it’s getting some questions so I want the Hive announcement to provide all the details of the game and answer some of the questions I was asked about the games.
In this way, the Hive post will serve as a reference for new players who just found out about the game on Hive to refer to in order to understand the game. But we’ll still put the announcement on our City Discord too in #announcements for citizens who don’t want to check it out here on Hive. Announcements will always be posted on the city discord first so citizens have a first peek of the new game for the week.
I had thought of announcing it only in the city discord, but if I did that, the questions we answer will get lost up in chat (because the city chat is soooo busy) and new people who join the games from Hive or even new citizens will always keep asking the same questions to understand the games as well. So putting it here on Hive leaves a permanent reference to the gameplay guide and rules for everyone forever.
And Now The Reveal Of This Weekend’s Game
The announcement we’ve been waiting for is finally here! For the Game of the weekend, we’ll be playing….
21 questions is a fun texting game for friends to find out interesting things about each other. It’s normally played between two people but can be played among a group: which is what we’ll be doing in our case. Group play.
You get to ask your friends personal questions you wouldn’t be able to ask in a normal conversation. So consider this like a free pass to know anything about anyone! But obviously stay within human reach. Lol. You don’t want to be the guy asking too uncomfortable questions.
To make it flexible for people, each person has one shot at passing up a question they’re asked. This will ensure that if you’re asked an uncomfortable question you’re not exactly required to answer. But you know, if there are more chances to pass up questions, some people will end up answering nothing, therefore the only 1 pass punch. So be careful which question you want to pass on because once you pass that one, you kinda have to answer all the remaining ones.
The Discord Technicalities And General Gameplay Rules
I’ll create a giveaway in the general chat room and everyone reacts to it. The person that gets chosen gets to ask one question and everyone that reacted to the giveaway answers the question in turn. To keep it fun and fast and to avoid one person stalling too much, each person has two minutes to answer the question. We’ll answer the question in the order the bot arranged the giveaway win announcement.
In anticipation that there’ll be great turn up, only 5 people can react on each giveaway. So yes it’s a fast fingers thing! This way, each person’s question takes like 10 minutes max to answer, then we can create a new giveaway and move to the next round. In that turn until the end.
The total gameplay time will be 1hour 30 minutes, 2 hours (or more, but hopefully not as it’ll get stressful) if the turn up is great and we still have many citizens who haven’t played.
To ensure that everyone(or most of us) gets a shot at play, there will be a 20 minute game time out of the 1hour 30 minutes for citizens who didn’t get selected at all to play against each other. So the game itself lasts 50 minutes general and 10 minutes for “bad luck” players. But because this is out first game play, the time rules might be a bit flexible as this first game will be totally unpredicted. As weeks go by, there’ll be adjustments to the gameplay itself and the rules involved.
There’ll be a sharps play time too. This one will be special for only sharps(obviously), but the date and everything is still under contemplation! I’ll choose the game, but the rules are entirely open to the entire sharp chat to decide. We could decide to include even choices that require the use of an active key. Lol just saying.
Every week, I’ll make a Hive announcement of the following week’s game description and make a recap of the past week’s game in that post. Then part of the payout of that post funds the winning prizes for the next game night. Everyone that plays with us is a winner and the rewards will be split equally among all.
Gameplay Rules
For now these are pretty much all the rules. Be a human being, basically. Lol. I’m trying to keep it as simple as it can be to keep it fun. But we certainly need rules or else people will go overboard. Like I already said, as the weeks progresses, there’ll be tweaks to the rules and we’ll have different games every week(hopefully). If we want this to keep going though, the turnouts will have to be encouraging and participation should be good too.
It’s important to note though that the game is not just for people already in the Neoxian city. You can join us today and play with us this weekend!
Hive is so full of articles but people don’t really know what we look like offline. Our personalities and the stories behinds our lives. Come play with us this weekend in the Neoxian City Discord to have an off-chain interaction with some of the Hivers you already might know and find out more about them! Don’t miss it this Sunday!

Please ask me questions if you don’t understand anything. Also you can tag and mention others I missed to mention in this post so they don’t miss out as well. A reblog and upvote will be appreciated too. Head over to the Neoxian City Discord tonight and let’s have some fun!!!*

Sorry about the mention, guys. If you’d like me to stop tagging you in the next game night publications, please let me know on the comments and I will.
The Game Night Flier wasn’t designed by myself as I had a really busy day and couldn’t design on Canva myself. It was by @olujay so 10% of this post’s payout goes to him. The flier is amazing, thank you, brother🙂.
