Our pumpkin plants. The entire process we go through until harvesting馃崈 [ESP-ENG]
Happy night friends of Hive Garden this week I want to share with you the beautiful pumpkins that we harvested at home with which we made several soups, also a cake and various creams and the truth is that there is no better feeling than harvesting something at your house. Little by little we want to plant more like tomatoes, peppers and eggplants.
Feliz noche amigos de Hive Garden est谩 semana quiero compartir con ustedes las hermosas auyamas que cosechamos en casa con las cuales hicimos varias sopas, tambi茅n una torta y varias cremas y la verdad que no hay mejor sentimiento que cosechar algo en tu casa. Poco a poco queremos plantar m谩s como tomates, aji y berenjenas.
The truth is that there were several pumpkin plants that grew so much that they took up all the space in the back of the house. As you can see in the image.
La verdad es que eran varias plantas de auyama que hab铆a y crecieron tanto que tomaron todo el espacio del fondo trasero de la casa. Como pueden ver en la im谩gen.
The truth is that since I saw the flowers of this plant I started taking photos because I remembered this community and I thought that I wanted to share the whole process of having these pumpkins that were really tasty.
La verdad es que desde que v铆 las flores de esta planta comenc茅 a tomar fotos porque me acord茅 de esta comunidad y pens茅 en que quer铆a compartir todo el proceso de tener est谩s auyamas que la verdad estuvieron muy sabrosas.
Here I was able to take some closer photos of how the pumpkin was forming. Something that really impressed me is how fast the pumpkins grow, they grow quite a bit day by day, and I think that's what I loved most about having this plant at home and seeing how it was growing day by day.
Aqu铆 pude tomar unas fotos m谩s de cerca como se iba formando la auyama, algo que realmente me impresion贸 es lo r谩pido que crecen las auyamas d铆a con d铆a crecen bastante y creo que esa es l aparte que m谩s me encant贸 de tener est谩 planta en casa y d铆a a d铆a ver c贸mo iba creciendo.
Here it was a bit bigger, there were some pumpkins that were bigger than others. In total we caught about 8 pumpkins so we made several preparations at home.
Aqu铆 ya estaba un poco m谩s grande, hubo algunas auyamas que fueron m谩s grandes que otras. En total agarramos como 8 auyamas por eso hicimos varias preparaciones en casa.
When the pumpkin started to turn a little yellow or orange, we removed it from the plant to prevent some animal from eating it and damaging it. We have seen some snails in the yard that damage the plants.
Cuando la auyama estuvo tomando un poco de color amarillo o un poco naranja la quitamos de la planta para evitar que alg煤n animal se la comiera y la da帽ara. Ya que en el patio hemos visto algunos caracoles que da帽an las plantas.
And once we cut the pumpkin, this is how it looked inside. The color and flavor were really good. I hope to continue planting at home and share my experiences in this wonderful community.
Y una vez cortamos la auyama as铆 se ve铆a por dentro la verdad que el color y el sabor estaban demasiado bien. Espero seguir plantando en casa y compartir mis experiencias en esta maravillosa comunidad.
