“When you travel with children you are giving something that can never be taken away: Experience, exposure, and a way of life.”– Pamela Chandler
Good day, Hivers! How are you feeling today? I pray everything is good and in God's will. Today I will be sharing our quick escapade to Cebu City. Last Sunday afternoon my sister requested our presence to go with them to visit Sr. Santo Nino Church in Cebu City. They will be sending their son to a boarding house near CIT University, where my nephew studied Electrical Engineering. My brother-in-law will personally send his son to the city while he is still at home. So we agreed to be with them because we wanted to visit the Holy Sr. Santo Nino Church. My husband, second child, the youngest child, and I were with them, and we left for Cebu City at 12:30 p.m. By 4:00 p.m., we arrived at Santo Church. My youngest child was fascinated with the Magellan Cross, so we went there and took pictures before lighting our candles and entering the Church.
When we were inside the vicinity of Santo Nino church we've seen a lot of people that we find it difficult in lighting our candles and the mas had almost started. We made sure that before the mass started we can get inside the church to offer our prayers to give thanks to the holy child and our almighty father for whatever we have in our life. The blessings, good health, and for always protecting us every day.
Before leaving the Sr Santo Nino Church I am attracted to the beautiful scene outside the Santo Nino Church. I took some pictures of it and I am amazed that it was a nice view. It made me realize the holiness of the church. That's how wonderful the Holy Santo Nino Church one of very well known church in the Cebu where first Christianity was spread and embraced by Filipino people.
While leaving the church vicinity area we felt hungry, so we looked for a restaurant where we could sip hot soup. So, my brother-in-law recommended his favorite restaurant where he could eat a home-cooked meal. So we dined at Conching's Native Chicken and Fast Food Filipino Restaurant in Cebu, which is located on Juan Luna Street, North Reclamation Area, Cebu City, Philippines, near the SM Mall.
The restaurant was spacious. There were a lot of customers but their food attendant and food server were very quick in serving and bussing the dishes. They offered Filipino dishes from grilled, roasted, soup dishes and a lot more. They have also cold drinks and shakes as well as delicacies sold inside. We ordered pochero, barbecue, crab meat, tuna panga, grilled bangus, drinks, shakes, and of course rice. We paid exactly Php 3,010.00 for 7 persons. We had a delicious meal and full stomach. We were not able to consumed everything so we brought home the remaining food ordered. We were satisfied with the food and tasted the Filipino-style dish that fits every Filipino who craved their dishes. It was our second visit to Conching's Restaurant.
Below is the list of menus offered by Conching's Original Native Chicken and Fast Food Filipino Restaurant. These are all appetizing, delectable, and mouth-watering and when you tasted them you always wanted.
After our delicious meal at Conchings Restaurant, we proceeded to my nephew's boarding house but we just parked and waited for them at the gasoline station while waiting for my sister and my brother-in-law since there was no parking area at the boarding house. After that, we went home by exactly 6:30 in the evening. We had a wonderful escapade in the city together with my children brother in law and sister on that day. Another unforgettable memory we've created for us to cherish. Thank God for a safe trip. We arrived home at exactly 10:00 in the evening because of traffic and we stopped over at Carmen Bus Stop.
That's all for this blog. Thank you for reading and see you on my next blog.
