Dec. 12, 22: Routine, Exam Stress, Teaching, Quest, TV, and Games

[Dude, seriously! If yesterday was stressful, today is equally or moreso…got two exams to write, a post to do, have to take Mom to the doctors, and would like to watch the game this afternoon…oh, and Pimp meeting this morning as well! 😱😱😨]

I’m not a hundred percent sure, but I think I made it through the whole night in bed last night. 😮 Fell asleep relatively early, like quarter to nine and (even with waking up in the night) slept until just about seven for nearly eight and a half hours for the second night in a row! 🥳

Unfortunately, I woke up kind of stressed out. I had wanted to get the Algebra final written over the weekend so that we could review from it and I could get my copies done, but I was waiting on the common questions required by the department. I emailed but hadn’t heard back…an hour before I needed to get ready to go I got an email saying there’s no department question this time, so I had to scramble and write the final from scratch.

The morning routine was pretty routine otherwise and I did all the usual stuff I do in the morning. Got my post done and shared and then immediately got to work writing the final exam…I missed a question, though, so I had to make up another one during class. It’s fine, though…now I just need to get it properly written up in LaTex so I can print it Wednesday before class (which will consume some time).

I got out the door about ten minutes late, but the drive was fine and I was there with about ten minutes to spare. Didn’t really feel like listening to students stress about the final, so I went down to the Part Time Faculty Office and killed a few minutes before heading up.

We went through examples of the exam questions and even with talking and stuff it took us about an hour and a half. I went over a second example of the hardest kind of question and then asked if there were any they wanted to do another of, but they were good and we called class early.

The drive home went fine as well and I got home with a couple hours before Wenche was due home. I really should have started typing up the exam then, but I dinked around on Discord for a bit and then busted out the Quest.

I finished the Stable and found another puzzle on Puzzling Places that I’m sure I did the four hundred piece version of before, but it said I didn’t so I started again. Got it about twenty percent done and quit out just before Wenche got home.

She made us some French toast for dinner and we watched an animated movie: Storks. Was pretty good and worth a few giggles. 😁 Once that finished I got ready for bed and we switched over to Superstore until I fell asleep (don’t think I made it through a whole episode).

No crime or crises in my dShitty today, but that doesn’t mean much with the taxes or whatever extra shit is going on. Got two SIM for the day, which isn’t much better than the ridiculously low bar of the nothing they have been paying out. 🤬🤬

Well, what do you know? I’ve got drunk fans again on Rising Star, hooray! From the sound of things, I’m the last sucker that goes in and clicks this manually every day; guess everyone just bots it (smart).

My Splinterlands rental income remained stable at $2.3, but the value of SPS is down and the fee costed me like 7.5 (the highest it’s been yet 🤬). I don’t know, can’t say that I’m not a bit disappointed with how this has been playing out (and it’s a little frustrating leaving quarter of the potential on the table), but I just keep repeating the mantra: it’s better than a couple potions.

I guess they finally answered the question: wen land? It’s supposed to go through within the next day or two (I didn’t get involved with that, though, too pricey, so doesn’t make much difference to me).

Did the usual SPS interest claim and paid the (expensive) rental fee with it. I’ve basically plowed through all the liquid HIVE I had built up (bought PIZZA for PPUD and more INK), so trying to save back up to swap some out here in a couple days.

GLX:
Been holding pretty steady with my GLX drop, just staking it up a couple times a day…interested to see what will come of the GLGT as well. 😮

WOO:
Not quite sure what’s been up with WOO. There was a bug or two I guess, and I know that H-E has been having issues, so could be a number of things…lower today than I have been, but better than yesterday. I did stake up a little more from airdrops, but no mining reward this time.

Got my stats for last week today. Red flags all over the place again 😭, not the right direction considering last week was the same. It is a lot harder to get out for a walk when the weather is gross (and there’s soccer ⚽️ on TV 😛), but those are just excuses.
