I went out for a celebratory (birthday) dinner the other night with my spouse. He has a friend that was playing music at a local bar called Hightopps Backstage Grille which is located in Timonium, Maryland. I’ve heard his friend, Jimmy Lewis, play before and he’s pretty good. He plays Classic Rock and Country mostly. I’ve never been to Hightopps before so I was really looking forward to it. We started with a couple of Corona’s and ordered some food. We got the Santa Fe Fries which are fries that are topped with melted Monterey jack cheese, jalapeno bacon bits, bbq sauce and ranch dressing. I ordered the Jumbo Hightopps Pretzel which is a huge pretzel that is topped with crab dip and finished with melted Monterey jack cheese. It was pretty damn good! My husband ordered the Hand Cut Ribeye which was excellent. I know this because I had a little bite. It also came with mashed potatoes and a mixed vegetable. We got there early so we had a front row seat for the music. The décor was nice with guitars that were hung all around the room. The place has several rooms for dining and such. They also have a couple of big outside areas that were lit up but it is way too cold now to be sitting outside. I can just imagine how crowded it gets out there when it’s warm out. By the time we left, the place was packed. We timed it pretty well and had a great time. The kids wanted McDonalds so we stopped to get them something on the way home. My husband went in as I spotted a yellow sign that I wanted to take a photo of for the Wednesday colorchallenge and that is when something very, very weird happened but I will save that story for tomorrow. Here are some photos from my night out!
