What I see: a double rose of deep burgundy hue on a long stem -- expensive in February

What I feel: It has the visible texture of velvet and the color of the finest rubies ... more affordable than both, but might still be thought of as just as precious between two people just right for each other.


He recognized she was a widowed queen, in an exile that would never end.
Long dispossessed of homeland, and yet –
