Feliz y bendecido día
Happy and blessed day
¡Hola, amigos!
Hi, friends! Continuing with our lunch options, today I’m sharing a different idea to break out of the routine, since sometimes we get tired of eating the same thing (even though we should always be grateful to God for the food He provides us every day).
It’s roast pork served with fried arepas and plantains with cheese made in the Airfryer. I love spoiling my family and making dishes they enjoy, so with this lunch, I wanted to surprise them with something different and delicious.
I hope you like it. Here’s the step-by-step guide!
3 piezas de chuletas de cerdo
1 cucharada de orégano
Harina de maíz
Aceite
1 plátano
Queso blanco duro
Sal al gusto.
3 pork chops
1 tablespoon of oregano
Cornmeal
Oil
1 plantain
Hard white cheese
Salt to taste.
Preparing the Pork Chops
- First, season the pork chops with salt and oregano and let them marinate for 10 minutes. Next, place a griddle on the stove over high heat, brush it with oil, and, once it’s hot, add the chops and cook them over low heat on both sides until they’re golden brown.
- These grilled chops are ready.
How to Make Fried Arepas
- First, we prepare the dough. To do this, take a bowl, add the flour, a little salt, and water, and knead with your hands until you have a smooth dough. Now take a portion of the dough and shape it into a round. Then place a skillet on the stove, add oil, and, once it’s hot, add the arepa and cook it on both sides until it’s golden brown and soft.
- These delicious fried arepas are ready
How to Make Fried Plantains with Cheese in the Air Fryer
- First, peel the plantains, then cut them in half, place them in the air fryer, and cook at 200°C for 15 to 16 minutes, flipping them halfway through so they brown evenly on both sides. Then, cut them open lengthwise, add the shredded cheese, and cook for 4 more minutes until the cheese is melted and golden.
- This delicious air-fried plantain with shredded cheese is ready.
- Now let's assemble the plate. To do this, take a plate, place the pork chop, the plantain, and the fried arepas on it, and your lunch is ready. Enjoy your meal.
