Swan in waiting! : My Actifit Report Card: April 29 2026
This beautiful swan is one of the pair of swans currently incubating their clutch of eggs. I managed to get a picture of the sitting swan through some thick undergrowth on the small island in the Ifield Mill Pond area.
In another part of the park, we found some canada geese with some of their newly hatched goslings. A very nice sight! These birds are remarkably tame, allowing us to approach quite close.
The coot family were around too. Only one of the young was in shot but there were three more a short distance away.
The main lake was looking very active too with many different gueese and ducks around. There was still a chilly breeze blowing but the sunshine was very strong making it feel much warmer.
