Seasonal changes are everywhere! : My Actifit Report Card: October 6 2026
Nature is preparing for colder weather now and there are plenty of signs to be found.
The seeds of the sycamore hanging in bunches are a wonderful example of this autumn.
We have some late roses too, looking magnificent in the sunshine this afternoon. I think these are well tended by the park gardeners who remove the old flower heads which encourages growth of new blooms.
Autumn colours are slowly appearing, and in some cases patchy. However, the real spectacle is yet to come!
These canada geese are enjoying the fresh grass in the meadow. These birds normally migrate, but some of them may stay here for the winter. I have noted that a small number do stay here on our lakes until spring.
