March Sunshine and cycling : My Actifit Report Card: March 19 2026.
With this fine weather continuing, I made the most of it and took another cycle ride out into two of our parks. I actually cycled through a third park, the Ifield Mill Pond area to get to Buchan Park first then on to Tilgate Park to finish.
The sunshine was superb! This time of year the sun can be very warm and I could feel it through my jacket. There was no breeze at all, totally still today.
Scenery will change soon from this unbroken sunshine with little shade to high contrast effects when the trees have their full canopy. Today I definitely needed my sunglasses but when the trees have grown their new shoots and leaves the contrast between sunshine and shade can disorientate.
The lakes and ponds looked cool, but very still without the breeze. Everything seems too quiet as if waiting for something to happen. I think once nature wakes up a bit more it will seem busier, but that won't be too long now!
