One such film is Searching, where the entire story unfolds through something as simple as using a computer and the internet to drive the entire plot. As the story progresses, everything changes, creating a blend of thriller, horror, and the hope of finding someone.
The story introduces us to a father with a very close-knit family, but everything changes when his daughter goes missing—and that’s where the story really takes off, since a father will always do whatever it takes to find his children. That’s why he has to go through her computer, her social media, her messages, and all the digital traces she left behind. Everything changes because, behind a computer, there’s so much more than a person realizes—especially when it comes to a father and daughter—and that leads us to wonder: Will he be able to find her?
El internet es una de las herramientas más usadas a nivel mundial y a medida que van pasando los años más personas lo van usando y eso hace que también se vuelva mucho más peligroso, por eso se han estrenado varías películas que hacen referencia al tema especialmente cuando se pierde algo y el internet es la principal fuente de investigación. Así que se estrenó Searching, donde todo pasa mediante algo muy sencillo y es usar una computadora y el internet para desarrollar toda una película y a medida que avanza todo va cambiando, creando una combinación de thriller, terror y a la vez la esperanza de poder encontrar a alguien.
La historia nos presenta a un padre con una familia muy unida, pero todo cambia cuando la hija desaparece y ves allí donde la historia comienza a tomar fuerza, puesto que un padre siempre hará lo que sea poder encontrar a sus hijos y por eso le toca revisar su computadora, sus redes sociales, sus mensajes y todos los rastros digitales que ella dejó, la cual todo cambia ya detrás de una computadora hay mucho más que uno como persona no conoce especialmente cuando se trata de padre e hija y eso nos lleva a preguntarnos ¿Podrá encontrarla?

At the same time, the film highlights both the positive and negative sides of technology: while you can find anything on the internet in a matter of seconds—such as a conversation, a photo, or a profile—it can also cause harm, just as it does here.
Una de las cosas que funciona esta película y es muy distinta, es que todo se desarrolla a través de pantallas: videollamadas, mensajes, búsquedas en Internet, redes sociales, correos electrónicos y videos, la cual le da un toque especial, puesto que es mucho más complicado de lo que suena, e incluso le da más tensión a la película, puesto que un mensaje, una notificación o un perfil puede hacer que todo cambie. Uno como espectador puede llegar a sentirse identificad o poder llegar a saber quién fue, pero estar allí debe ser una situación muy fuerte, puesto que cada segundo qué pasa puede cambiar el ritmo de todo y cada dato puede ser una pista.
La película combina una gran cantidad de elementos comenzando desde el misterio, las relaciones familiares y las redes sociales, tres cosas que hacen que la película avance, llegando a mostrar una realidad que hoy es muy común en todas las edades. Mientras que, por otro lado, la película muestra el lado positivo y negativo de la tecnología, ya que en el internet se puede encontrar cualquier cosa en cuestión de segundos como una conversación, una fotografía y un perfil, pero también se puede hacer daño tal como ocurre aquí.
I really liked this movie—it’s perfect for anyone who enjoys mysteries. Plus, technology plays an essential role in driving the entire plot, making every scene much more exciting. It also highlights the fact that, while we can find a great deal of information about a person online, that doesn’t mean we truly know them—and this is where Searching shows that behind all the screens, messages, and social media, there are still people with secrets, emotions, and problems that we can’t always see.
Me gusto mucho el resultado de esta película, puesto que es perfectamente para quienes disfrutan los misterios, además aquí la tecnología es esencial en el desarrollo de toda la película creando que cada escena sea mucho más emocionante. Además, resalta que el en Internet podemos encontrar muchísima información sobre una persona, pero eso no significa que realmente la conozcamos y es aquí donde Searching demuestra que detrás de todas las pantallas, los mensajes y las redes sociales, sigue habiendo personas con secretos, emociones y problemas que no siempre podemos ver.
