I haven't got a chance to make a post in ASEAN Hive for the past few days, partly due to my bad timing arrangement, but mostly due to a series of crap that is happening.
The SX4 we "newly" purchased in 2020, within few months required a heart transplant(engine swap) due to serious cardiac arrest (engine seized). Yesterday, she suddenly decided to collapsed.
As usual, home minister called to say she don't know what to do with it, as if I have a cheat code that I secretly kept. Do you remember the once infamous NES game? I think all car manufacturer should come up with an emergency backup power so the car can magically come back to life for a short while and the user able to drive it to safety or repair workshop.
So I had her to call the towing service, and I drove another car there to check things up. I let her have my car, and I did some routine checking, just like the video game up up down down left right left right B A B A Start. Oh wow! It start! Thank you Jesus.
But the car still won't move. Well, apparently, the transmission blown. I was expecting something simple, like changing the torque converter could fix it. After dismantling the transmission box to figured there's metal shave at the bottom of the oil sump. My heart went shattered just like the gears. God know how many thousands I will have to pay for this again. Thinking of change to something more organic. May be an elephant...
