I'm not sure I throw myself into the busy schedule, because I'm busy, or I'm just trying to maximise my time to avoid thinking of my cousin brother too much that thinking of not having him physically here makes me scared.

By the time I managed to schedule my trip t my home town, he was already gone for a few days. I've been trying to fnish my work here in Kuala Lumpur, before I can leave for my home town Ipoh. I knew I can sleep in a little more, but I have decided to kick myself out of the bed, so I can go out for a walk.

A morning walk actually helps to start my day smoother. That was the time that nobody is going to bother me, it's only me and the road Infront of me. I knew for a fact that even if I try to sleep in, it's no guaranteed a bad dream will set in and drive my emotion haywire for the rest of the day.

Immediately after the morning walk, I have taken a shower and instantly send myself off to church, so we can sing for the wedding mass.

Wedding lunch is served at the tent nar the church compound. It was so romantic, food tasted marvelous, and it's so sweaty and the mixture of perfume and body odour complete the perfect lunch. Provided, my car was blocked when I was ready to leave. Church is a place that you can experience both sides of human face. Before church, you'll experience good manners, people face wth smile. And right after church trying to get out of the church compound, you'll be witnessing the same face turning from angel to demons 🤣 as if people forgot why they went to church in the first place. Ater waited for more than half an hour, finally the car who double parked Infront of us came, with the look on his face of "the hell are you lookin at? Pal!" 😅

By the time I reached home, its already passed 2. I took a quick shower, got myself changed to clean clothes, took a 10 minutes power nap, kiss my wife good bye(nope, those teenage kids are NOT complying) and started my long journey home.

I didn't particularly make a prayer about this trip. But I think god is already listening through my heart. Traffic i smooth all the way. It even took less than my normal traveling time to get back to my home town, right there at the high school I've attended some 30 years ago.

And I still have a couple of minutes to spare before sunset mass. Funny enough, the school I have attended was a missionary school, but I have never been a Catholic my entire school years.

After the sunset mass, I took another long drive from town heading to Pengkalan for the wake. And before that, I had to pay this place a visit, a super old school restaurant by the name of Let's Rock.

Kedai Kopi Let's Rock was one of many ordinary noodles house in my home town Ipoh. However, they're also famous with their crry fish head. And now, they even have multiple outlets across Malaysia, I've tried few of them in Kuala Lumpur, I had to come back to pay a visit to the original shop.

Seeing the legendary price tag here, it feels like a pilgrimage tour. We don't get any cheaper than here anymore, considering the stuffed tofu in Kuala Lumpur is aleast RM2.00 a piece.

Since this is the original shop, they don't fry extra stock on the tray. This is to ensure the freshness and food quality are up to standard. I got myself a stuffed brinjal, yam bean, and a slice of tofu skin.

There's no air condition, no fancy table, matter of fact those table are so old that you can see the surface discoloration, there's no uniform, no university part time student work here.

The only thing that have a lot is, old taste. The view from the inside of the shop looking out is priceless. You don't need to worry if you came with a Benz or a Diahatsu, all you need to know is, only locals knows about this place.

My meal is served, and total damage is RM8. I got a plate of dried flat noodle mixed with vermicelli.

One moment you see it, the next moment it's gone. I did thought of making a food blog about this place, but later on decided I don't do the justification since I'm on another mission with the family(to visit my dead cousin's family and attend the wake).

I'm skipping the sad part and eye watering speech by the family. I gave my hugs and hand shakes to my uncles, neaces and nephews. I left a message to my wife telling her I will be started driving 10pm a night and to rush back to Kuala Lumpur again, and these are the supplies that will keep me going the rest of the night.
