Good feelings are gone. After the resignation, I have a couple of days enjoying my mental vacation where I no longer needed to suffer with the suppression and heavy workload.
I'm glad the big shot called me personally to talk about my resignation. As much as I wish to, but I didn't talk about about the current boss on his management skill. In the end, we're all working FOR someone else. I know I know, Tony Robbins said working WITH. If that makes you feel better, please go ahead. I'm just going to say FOR, this way I can make myself detached and feeling less sentimental for this job I've been hodl for the past many years.
God I don't even want to count anymore. I had fun for a few days, started making calls to inform distance clients I will ceasr operation in a few weeks. I'm also handing over my clients especially those who has been with me since I started work here.
Emotionally, I really feel bad of leaving these clients behind. Technically, most if not all of them are now my close friends. There's little choice do I have now. If I stay back, the company policy is going to turn my client into my enemy. I will still lose them the painful way.
An ex colleague called to congratulate on my new job and are impressed by I will be able to get a buy over offer. Which means, the new company will compensate to me for paying back my old company for short notice resignation, I will have to pay back in lieu of my salary. In a nutshell, that's like getting a bonus from a company I never worked with.
Let's not forget, those are not free money. I don't get to use that money, at the same time it became my "income", which I will have to pay tax for. I may looked having a good time enjoying so much more benefit after the resignation, between 4 walls, I'm 6 months behind and gotta start worrying my next year tax bracket.
