Our crossover has been with us 3 years now. Initially, it was purchased at a discounted price, which anyone would say it's a good deal compare to the market value, about 30% lower, so I took the bait.
Immediately after a month or two, the car came down to an engine failure. That point of time, the engine replacement already took away all the discounts and I had to pay a little extra to get the paperwork done.
Well, life is full of accidents. After the engine replacement, it didn't drive well for too long and we found the water temperature rising occasionally. One faithful day, the car totally thrown itself into a stall and left us stranded by the roadside.
Then we found the original problem that cause the previous engine failure, it was the water pump that leak coolant. Truly devastating news as the damage could have cost us another engine. Not sure if I should use the term "fortunately", the engine didn't ceased. It's suffer damage, but not to the extend of total ceasure.
We proceed with the cooling system repair and put the car back on the road. It then continue to throw tantrum, following up with air-condition system breakdown. One time, it even busted its transmission, which cost almost the price of the engine. The latest development, busted tire lead to discovery of stabilizers jammed, damper leak, bushing wear and tear.
Finally, after another 2510 charged to my plastic money, it can move again. Lemme do the math, we've spent almost double the price to get the car. There's no right and wrong, perhaps luck. The car finally drive properly and we now know which of the parts has been replaced and repaired.
On a side note, I mentioned about getting a new car and signing up for Uber/Grab, if I don't get a job, I'd rather drive for a living. Now that I think of it, why didn't I consider signing up with the Suzuki and painting it as Fake Taxi 🚕, who knows I get good business 🤣
