If any of my village boy gonna say something about black sheep, I'm that homie. Despite growing up there, but my speed has always been too fast for that kind of lifestyle. Therefore, I've left my home wince I was young and started my journey at the major city.
We usually pick a less embarrassing moment, something like 3am in the morning to get out from the village. That way, mom won't make a fuzz about anything and everything. Taking a photo of the broken fan is required as needed to get parts to repair it on my next return.
As every Chinese new year, we tend to overslept every single time. Fortunately the traffic wasn't so bad, other than having half an hour nag from mom, reminding to drive slow π€£. We manage to make it on time before the end of McDonald's breakfast.
Before we managed to digest, immediately had to visit a friend where he cooked for us. Don't look down on this simple lunch, pancake is super tasty to go with spicy chicken, and the sambal brinjal is extremely appetizing. I think I've forgotten I'm still full, and I had consumed 3 slices of pancakes.
Side note, mom in law gave me a piece of this pastry. I think it's from Vietnam, filled with pandan and durian flavor. Sweet and tasty yo. My official Chinese New Year celebration need to put a comma here. Let's put a pause and go back to work.
