Life has been pretty much dull especially for the past 2 years. The government around the world has been using the virus as a "reason" to lock everyone in their house. With the current new Megatron varient, the stupid government seems happily arranging for the 4th great lockdown very soon.
Our girl decided to go out with her friend as the friend's mother wanted to take them to One Utama, one of the largest mall in Kuala Lumpur, while we decided to head to Mid Valley Megamall. Our original intention was going to take the train, but after going through a few train stations nearby our house, we found absolutely none of them are in operation. To later learn from the internet it was shut down and going to make way for the latest MRT. It's funny, they stop the train service, to make way for the new train service. So, during this period, what do people use? Oh well, may be conveniently Megatron is here, it's lockdown time, and nobody needs to take the train to work anymore. Brilliant country.
Ok I really need to stop being such a pest, keep on talking crap about how things should be and why it shouldn't. Shit happens for a reason, and we shall embrace and live our life to the fullest, rather than sitting here full of shit. And therefore, without further ado, let's head to Mid Valley Megamall of Kuala Lumpur. I will let the picture speaks for itself. Crowd control my ass.
It's madness, despite when we arrived there, it was already 2pm, way past lunch hour but still the ramen shop had this queue. If I wasn't here couple of days ago, I wouldn't even believe my eyes.
It took us roughly half an hour standing at the queue, I think that makes the noodle taste so much better due to the anticipation. I ordered a Hakata Ramen for my lunch. Almost didn't gobble up the bowl altogether(no I didn't).
Since the boy is with us, we decided to order ice cream for him. But there's limited choice, the waitress recommend us this Yuzu ice cream. For a brief moment, I did trust it to be a real ice cream, and came a stash of shaved ice. Taste a little bit like cultured milk with orange pulp but that's all. May be that's how it should taste like back in Japan, but not to my liking and I wouldn't pay for that price which I can buy half a gallon of chocolate ice cream.
The day didn't end there, as the boy remember we've got 1 most important task we haven't done yet, which is the train ride. Darn it to the heck, why can't he remember his school homework? Not that I'm complaining, since it's public holiday, and I'd like to take this opportunity to take a train ride going down town to see what's going on. Off we went and started our long walking journey to our super sophisticated public transport of Kuala Lumpur. We can drive there, but then we know there will be traffic and limited parking slot, since we're already parked at the mall, might as well be a tourists for 1 afternoon and see how that turn up.
