Sometimes we get a really strong wind. This time the strong wind blew over this old fence. This is the fence that divides my brother and mom's house with the neighbor's house in the backyard area.
Both the neighbor's and my mom and my brother are renters. I know that owner can barely keep up, so I know she won't be putting up money for a new fence.
I don't think the owner of the neighbor's house will put up money for a new fence either.
I will keep an eye open for people that are putting up new fences as sometimes they that are putting up a new fence will want people to pick up the old fencing material. That is what I am hoping for. You see I can repurpose the old fencing wood to rebuild this old fence that went down. You can't beat free wood.
It is just that when you need wood like that, there might not be people that are putting up a new fence and thus want to get rid of the old fencing material, plus it is still winter and no one wants to put up a new fence in the rain, in the winter.
I am good a repurposing wood, I used my old deck wood to make solar stands with. Of the deck wood that is left are the really rotten boards, that are not good for rebuilding a fence, but I will keep an eye open for any free used fence material that people might be giving away.
Then I can use that to rebuild the fence.
Well, my mom is staying with my sister for the time being and my brother doesn't even know that the fence is down at the moment, also I wouldn't know if that fence is down also, if I didn't go and feed mom's cats in the backyard. So I think we can wait and maybe there will be an opportunity to get some free old wood to fix up this fence.
At least I have my old 91 Chevy S10 pickup that I can use to pick up any discarded building material that I might find useful to rebuild this fence.
I usually look through the Craigslist free section to look for stuff that people are giving away for free, and sometimes people do give away wood from an old fence.
