So the sun is going down. The day is coming to an end. It is right before night.
I like the night. I look forward to the cool of the night. Sometimes the inside of the house is warmer than the outside of the house.
I just put a window fan on and it is feeling pretty good. I also still have a fan in front of my face and my spray bottle of water. Mist the face then face the fan. The coolness of evaporating water.
Today I went out to my credit union to deposit some money and move money around. I always do that before I pay my bills.
That is why we have our income to pay our bills. There was a time before income tax. People could keep more of their money, then the bankers had a chance to get even more money. That was our central bank coming into existence again in 1913.
This is how they made the wife go to work. That was inflation. Money is worth less now the wife had to work. Sure some see it as a good think, but was it not better when the mom stayed home and taught the kids and only the husband went to work? My mom stayed at home, then later on went to work to help out with the bills.
So things changed, now both parents work, well in most cases that is and most of the time the money is still not enough.
Well, what you going to do? Well, you got to live below your means. Why? Well, by living below your means, you will find that you can save money. Everybody would like there to be $1000 in emergency money.
I heard that the average american does not have $1000 for an emergency. We all know that emergencies come when we least expect it.
So it would be wise to budget for an emergency. I budget for car repairs. That way when the car or cars need repair, I do have the money to pay for those repairs.
Today I heard a neighbor just yelling in frustration. I guess there was something wrong with his car. Maybe he needed to get the car fixed, but maybe he had no money to fix the car. He kept on yelling how he hated his car.
I there a good book called, Richest Man In Babylon by George S Clason. In it there is a story called, Remedies Of A Lean Purse. One thing is that it teaches to live off of 9 tenths of what you make.
That other tenth would be put away for later, as in investments.
To live off of 9 tenths of ones income will take some discipline, but just like push ups if you keep on working at it you will get better and better at it.
The sun goes down and I am writing about money. It is a good subject to talk about. Husband and wife need to talk about such things. After all the number one reason for divorce is money.
If both can discipline themselves in such things then, maybe a marriage can survive.
Let's end with a scripture, Findeth a wife findeth a good, and obtaineth favour of the LORD. Proverbs 18:22.
