Here in my country, there are people who dress casually, no drip, no fancy belt or shoes, no expensive clothes, yet they have millions of Naira in their bank accounts.
Then we have people who have nothing in their accounts, but when you see them outside, their appearance will make you feel like you are not trying at all. It will make you feel like you came to this world to play.
This is why I find it funny when Nigerian girls started making posts about how guys with cars do not spend on them like guys without cars.
This is simple maths. Guys with cars spend a huge amount to buy the car, and they also have to spend more money gradually to maintain the car. In the end, they often have nothing left to spend again, and in most cases, it is their friends and girlfriends that end up fueling their cars sometimes.
It is not the same for a guy without a car. That millions of Naira meant for a car is sitting prettily in his account, and he does not have to spend a large amount of money on emergency faults or repairs. So they have more than enough to take care of their girl. I am surprised girls have just started to understand this.
This is also one of the reasons I do not have a car yet. A car is something one should buy when money is no longer a problem. A person who is yet to get his life sorted should not be driving a car because he will end up spending the money he ought to use to start his life on the car, and in the end, still sell the car when he can no longer afford to maintain it.
So, a car is just like a materialistic wife. You will only keep spending.
This is to explain the reason why people who appear rich do not often have money or are in debt. It is not easy to look rich. You must spend to keep up that appearance.
While people who do not look rich do not need to spend unnecessarily. So, when an opportunity comes to invest, they have money to pour into it, which allows them to make more money.
