WHY SOME PEOPLE LOOK RICH BUT ARE STILL STRUGGLING
Hello #sciFimultiverse, I trust you are doing great. Welcome to my blog.

Today, life on social media seems to be a made-up one. People do a lot to look flashy, rich, and more successful than in real life. Some have become overnight wannabe individuals to belong. Some do this to chase clout; others claim it is for content creation.
My mum once told me a story about a lady who rejected good suitors who were coming for her hand in marriage in search of a wealthy suitor. One day, a very wealthy man came with luxuries; immediately, she accepted him and demanded that her parents rush the marriage to avoid losing out, not knowing that the man was a ghost.
After the flamboyant marriage, it was time to go home. The man demanded that nobody go home with them except the two of them. The family escorted them and bid them farewell. The journey began.
They passed seven rivers, seven seas, and each time, the man entered somewhere to return the things he borrowed for the marriage. He returned everything, including one of his eyes, leg, hand, ear, and other parts of his body.
At that point, the lady started crying that she was no longer interested in the marriage anymore, but it was too late. The rest is history.
A lot of people showcase a luxurious life on social media, while realistically, they are struggling. They live on borrowed cars, funds, data, airtime, recycling loans from bank to bank. Some manipulate pictures using AI and post about vacations and lavish lifestyles they cannot afford here and there, pressurising weak minds.
For me, being financially comfortable means living a life that is in tandem with my earnings and consistently saving little here and there.
However, there is nothing wrong with living large if only the individual is not stressing themselves to maintain a life they cannot afford, thereby mortgaging their future.
As is popularly said, people’s appearances do not tell the whole story, so I believe people should look beyond presenting a wealthy image to impress society and live in their truth while securing their future.
