You see the knowledge of the firmament will put an end to the idea of space travel. Ever notice that when a rocket goes up after awhile it starts to level off? What? Can't it just go straight up?
You see it cannot go straight up or else it will hit the firmament which is strong and as a molten looking glass. For it is written, Hast thou with him spread out the sky, strong, as a molten looking glass? Job 37:18. There is another scripture about the firmament, as it is written, And the likeness of the firmament upon the heads of the living creature as the colour of the terrible crystal, stretched forth over their heads above. Ezekiel 1:22.
We also have to remember that the sun, moon and stars are housed in the God made firmament. For it is written, And let them be for lights in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth: and it was so. And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and the lesser light to rule the night: the stars also. And God set them in the firmament of the heaven to give light upon the earth, Genesis 1:15-17.
So how are we to get to the moon if the moon, the lesser light is housed in the firmament? Also notice that we only see one side of the moon. I thought that the world taught us that the moon turns on its axis. So if the moon is a sphere and it turns why do we only see one side of the moon?
I do believe that the moon is a light and it is its own light and not the reflected light of the sun. The scripture said that there where two great lights. The greater light, the sun, whose light is warmer in its light than in its shade. Then compare it to the light of the moon whose light is cooler in its light than in its shade. They are two different lights and they act in two different ways.
Now what about the stars? They too are housed in the firmament and move in their fixed positions, except for the seven wandering stars. Yet all the stars move within the firmament, the fixed positions stars and the seven wondering stars. I have seen videos of non-NASA people that show what a star really looks like with a camera such as a Nikon P900 and the star looks different from the CGI that NASA is trying to sell us.
The scripture in Job 37:18 also mentions that the firmament is strong. How strong? It would have to be strong enough to hold enough water along with the waters of the fountains of the broken up deep to join with the waters on the flat earth to cover all the mountains.
For it is written, In the six hundredth year of Noah's life, in the second month, the seventeenth day of the month, the same day were all the fountains of the great deep broken up, and the windows of heaven were opened. Genesis 7:11. The windows of heaven were opened is the openings in the firmament so that the waters that were above the firmament could join with the waters that were below the firmament.
For to cover every mountain on the flat earth, there would have to be much additional waters. As it is written, Fifteen cubits upward did the waters prevail; and the mountains were covered. Genesis 7:20. Those additional waters came from the fountains of the broken up deep and the opening of the windows of heaven or the openings in the firmament.
To those that worry of climate change would be happy to hear what God said after the great flood of Noah's time. As it is written, While the earth remaineth, seedtime and harvest, and cold and heat, and summer and winter, and day and night shall not cease. Genesis 8:22. Because of this scripture, I will not worry of climate change.
Let's end with a scripture, God forbid: yea, let God be true, but every man a liar; as it is written, That thou mightest be justified in thy sayings, and mightest overcome when thou art judged. Romans 3:4.
