So my brother and I have taken on the giving away of stuff. Sometimes you just can give stuff away to places like Good Will.
I went to Good will and tried to give them stuff and they passed on it.
The reason we are giving away stuff is that a house full of stuff, cannot fit into another house full of stuff. So what we have been doing lately is just giving stuff away on the front lawn of my brother's place, that he will have to move out of soon and move in with me.
You see there was a death in the family, our mom had passed away on July 3rd, 2023. It is a sad thing for our family to lose our mom, but death happens.
So we ether throw stuff out into the dump or give stuff away. There is not enough time to have a garage sale, it is faster to just put stuff out on the lawn, with a little free sign on them.
And now I have to get rid of stuff in my house and the house that is to be vacated will have to get rid of stuff also, as to eventually fit into my house.
So I put this plastic drawer thing out and I put a carry on luggage on top. I put that out in the morning and by late afternoon, both of them were gone. I like that as that means that people are taking stuff.
Here is another group of things that I have put out to give away.
You know almost everything in the picture was eventually taken, except for the 3 level bread box. Well that morning I was going to the dump and since no one took the bread box, I just put in my truck along with other stuff that I was going to throw into the pit, the dump.
So that is my plan, as I always plan on going to the dump until I get rid of my junk, and when I do go and get rid of junk, I will just add in the things that have been left over from the free give away.
Of course there are stuff that I don't want to give away. Like my mom's pots. Well I don't mind having my mom's pots and pans. I asked my sister if she wanted some of Mom's pots and pans, but she already has a lot of pots and pans, so I will take them.
I will put them in plastic bins and put them into the garage.
You see if you put stuff in card board boxes, the rats will eat right through them, but on if I put them into plastic bins, the rats can't seem to get into them plastic bins with lids on them.
And yes there are rats in my area, as I am close to a river, you know the river rats.
So this is way I have been doing lately.
