I don't go to this club, but it does share the same parking lot with Costco, a big warehouse store that I bring my mom to when she wants to go shopping.

Well anyway, I usually park close to this place and at times this part of the parking lot is pretty full, when people work out there. Well, today I notice that the parking in that area is really slim. Then I look at this sign. The emblem and letters have been dug out. Something happened.

Well, there is a paper posted from the inside window stating that this place is now closed, but that the members are now a member of another club somewhere in this same city.

That is how they handle closing I guess.

I remember one time back in the late 70's and early 80's belonging to a club. It was small, but I liked it as it was close to a community college. In those days I would run. So after changing into my workout clothes I would go out and run the trails that weave in and out of the college.

Then after an hour of running I would sit in front of the stationary bikes and meditate as the sweat would drip from me. Then after that I would do 100 push ups then weigh myself. Everyday I would lose a pound of sweat. Of course I gained that pound back the next day.

Those were the good old days for me. At the end of my workout all the stress from the telephone company would be released and it felt like all stress was gone, for that day anyway. In those days I was in my early twenties and now I am sixty and I don't workout like that now days.

Well anyway, I came to the door and found that it closed I think this was in the mid 80's. Just like that, I was out of a gym membership. Then sometime later I got a piece of mail saying that this other gym invites me to go there saying that they will give me a membership that was quite less per year than the one that closed.

So I went there. I didn't like it as it wasn't near a college that I can run their trails, but they did have a circle to run on the top of the roof. It was OK.

Then after some years I went to the front door and their is a sign saying that they are closed so they can remodel. Well the remodeling never happened and I was out of a gym membership again.

Well it happens. I joined another gym after that, but eventually I quit.

I got workout things in my house that I hardly ever use. It is like when you get too relaxed at something then you have a tough time going back.

It is kind of like writing. You could be blogging all this time then you relax a bit, then it is the toughest thing to get back in there and write some more.

Just like my workout was my therapy, I think of my writing as therapy and yes I should do some working out, especially since I do have the equipment. Some of it I bought and I did get a stationary bike free from a Craigslist ad.

Maybe after I finish writing this blog I'll use one of my exercise equipment. There I wrote it down, so I will do that.

Let's end with a scripture, For bodily exercise profiteth little: but godliness is profitable unto all things, having promise of the life that now is, and of that which is to come. 1 Timothy 4:8.
