So this is Helen Lake! Not exactly the prettiest lake I have been to, but pretty in its own way. It has character you might say. This is one of those hikes where the journey is definitely the best part of the entire adventure. Of course we knew this before heading out. Apparently the hike can continue beyond this point to Dolomite Pass. Maybe next time we will give it a go. Sometimes you have to set reasonable goals that are acceptable to everyone in your hiking group.
