As you may already know if you are a regular on my Peakd space when I talk about Splinterlands I play two decks almost exclusively. One is the water deck, which I have developed to silver level although I still have some details to polish. The second deck, which I haven't improved for a long time, is the land deck. And this deck has two main protagonists that, together, form a very destructive combo for bronze and even silver levels. Today I present to you the combo of Mylor Crowling and Queen Mycelia.

Como ya sabrás si eres habitual de mi espacio en Peakd cuando hablo de Splinterlands juego dos mazos casi de manera exclusiva. Uno es el de agua, que tengo desarrollado a nivel plata aunque aún me faltan algunos detalles por pulir. El segundo mazo, y que llevo tiempo sin mejorar, es el de tierra. Y este mazo tiene dos protagonistas principales que, juntos, forman un combo muy destructivo para niveles bronce e, incluso, plata. Hoy os presento el combo que forman Mylor Crowling y Queen Mycelia.

Two cards make an incredible combo

One of the most important aspects of deck building games that you cannot ignore is that you should not analyse the cards individually. There are cards that on their own are quite simple, but if they share a line-up with one or more other cards, they exponentially improve their performance. And today I bring you two such cards that, together, perform exceptionally well. In fact, they are the basis of my strategy to reach the Silver League on the first day of each new season. Today I present to you the combo of Mylor Crowling and Queen Mycelia.

Uno de los aspectos más importantes en los juegos tipo "deck building" y que no puedes ignorar es que no debes analizar las cartas de manera individual. Hay cartas que por si solas son bastante simples pero que, si comparten alineación con otra u otras cartas determinadas, mejoran exponencialmente su rendimiento. Y hoy te traigo dos de esas cartas que, juntas, rinden de manera excepcional. De hecho, son la base de mi estrategia para alcanzar el primer día de cada nueva temporada la liga de plata. Hoy te presento el combo que forman Mylor Crowling y Queen Mycelia.

MYLOR CROWLING

Mylor is by far the most useful summoner next to Kelya Frendul. The Thorns ability he gives everyone in our line-up is brutal against melee dominated opponents. It's not for nothing that it's one of the most expensive summoners on the market.

Mylor es, de largo, el invocador que más utilidad tiene junto a Kelya Frendul. La habilidad Thorns que proporciona a todos los integrantes de nuestra alineación es brutal ante rivales con predominio de ataque cuerpo a cuerpo. Por algo es uno de los invocadores más caros que hay en el mercado.

You can currently buy Mylor Crowling on the market for $22.90 and for rent for 7.68 dec/day. It's a really expensive summoner and one that I don't plan on upgrading in the short to medium term but it's already very useful at level 1 for bronze and silver play.

Actualmente puedes comprar a Mylor Crowling en el mercado por 22.90 dólares y, en alquiler, por 7,68 dec/día. Es un invocador realmente caro y al que no planteo mejorar a corto o medio plazo pero que ya es muy útil a nivel 1 para jugar en bronce y plata.

QUEEN MYCELIA

Queen Mycelia is one of the legendary cards in the land deck and one of only five cards currently under $20 on the market. It's not a card that particularly stands out for its basic stats, but its ability gives it an added bonus that makes it an ideal match for Mylor Crowling. The Protect she brings from level 1 does a lot of damage to the enemy ranks with the Thorns Mylor adds.

Queen Mycelia es una de las cartas legendarias del mazo de tierra y una de las cinco que, a día de hoy, está por debajo de los 20 dólares en el mercado. No es una carta que destaque especialmente por sus estadísticas básicas, pero su habilidad le da un plus que la hace la pareja ideal para Mylor Crowling. Ese Protect que aporta desde el nivel 1 causa infinidad de daño en las filas enemigas con el Thorns que suma Mylor.

At level 2 he is even more fearsome when paired with Mylor. At this second level he adds the Amplify ability, which increases the damage of Magic Reflect, Return Fire and Thorns to all enemy monsters by one point. At this level, even Failed Summoner is a great choice for our line-up. Queen Mycelia's retail price is $18.90 and 2.80 dec/day at level 1 or 12.00 at level 2.

A nivel 2 ya es incluso más temible haciendo pareja con Mylor. Y es que en ese segundo nivel suma la habilidad Amplify cuyo efecto es aumentar en un punto el daño de Reflejo Mágico, Return Fire y Thorns a todos los monstruos enemigos. En este nivel incluso Failed Summoner es una magnífica opción para nuestra alineación. El precio de Queen Mycelia en el mercado es de 18.90 dólares y de 2.80 dec/dia a nivel 1 o de 12.00 a nivel 2.

THE LINEUP

Battle with a medium mana limitation, 32 points, but with battle conditions where only cards with a summoning cost of 4 points and below can be used. Idyllic conditions to showcase the magnificent combination of Mylor Crowling and Queen Mycelia.

Batalla con una limitación de maná de tipo medio, 32 puntos, pero con unas condiciones de batalla en la que solo se pueden utilizar cartas con coste de invocación de 4 puntos e inferior. Unas condiciones idílicas para mostrar la magnífica combinación que hacen Mylor Crowling y Queen Mycelia.

It makes no sense, in the rival line-up, to put Herbalist in the second position. We also make the most of the presence of a lot of melee attack, which is precisely where Mylor Crowling and Queen Mycelia shine the most. Ideal conditions for us to win easily.

No tiene sentido, en la alineación rival, colocar a Herbalist en la segunda posición. Además aprovechamos al máximo la presencia de mucho ataque cuerpo a cuerpo que es precisamente dónde más brillan Mylor Crowling y Queen Mycelia. Condiciones idóneas para que sumemos una fácil victoria.

CONCLUSIONS

As you may have noticed, one of the details that make the difference in "build your deck" games such as Splinterlands or Magic, Heartstone, etc, is to understand and take advantage of the relationships and synergies that certain cards have. The case of Mylor Crowling, with the ability "thorns" and Queen Mycelia with "shield" is clear and evident. A relationship that is absolutely decisive in novice and bronze and, depending on the conditions, also in the silver leagues.
