Ok, I was just in the office today and I was inspired to share something scriptural with our contract worker. What can you say about this, does money answer everything? And his reply was no. Although I knew he didn't have clarity or stamina for choosing NO for an answer and also adding to that he knows I wouldn't on my end have said a yes.

So well, he got it by experienced assumptions but there was a need for me to expand the money. Already this was an opportunity to talk about scriptures. How can money answer everything in the first place; then what makes God supreme?. This is a very simple analysis to look through.

Genesis 1:1 NIV
In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.

So where is money here in this creation and creator story to start with. Even till the fall of the first man Adam, there is no place that money was recorded for transaction. In short, we have seen from here that money showed up as a man made channel to solve earthly challenges after the fall. Let's head to our key scriptures;

Ecclesiastes 10:19 NIV
A feast is made for laughter, wine makes life merry, and money is the answer for everything.

Ecclesiastes 10:19 KJV
A feast is made for laughter, and wine maketh merry: but money answereth all things.

We have NIV and KJV above; so does money answer everything? By just reading through it may seem a yes but let's get what the teacher is saying here.

Before then, maybe we should do an expansive definition of the Hebrew word ‘Kol’. It means everything, all things, all together, the whole and so on. So it means this Hebrew word can be used to serve as a collection of things (specific thing too to note).

For instance, your son called concerning his education and told you what and what the school is requiring for the next semester and your reply was how much is everything? Does this mean you are saying everything as in ‘everything concerning his entire life’s provision’ or everything as concerning ‘the current specific area demand’?. Ok, I think the latter makes sense. So let's get back to our point of conversation.

Feast is made for laughter and wine makes merry; yes, money can answer to everything mentioned here.

Or we can also say,

Everything (all things) concerning merry and laughter, money can answer.

Does it make any sense? And maybe I should close the curtain here. Next time someone comes up to wrongly quotes this scriptures with you, please do well to help him out. Money can and will never be an answer for everything. Go check out the mortuary, you think everyone there is because they lack the finance? How about the cemetery; where are all those great kings we once heard of? They came and went and at an appointed time, their earthly riches rejected them.
