It will be one of such that will want to hear or read through. This Canadian gentleman ( perhaps, a blockchain evangelist) has become a bible addict and I love that about him.
Reading is part of my hobby and well, I am more interested in reading the Bible. Does that sound strange to you? The Holy Bible has been the most interesting book I have met in my life. How that it contains mysteries that is even more upgraded than every generation. It remains the oldest updated book, isn't that quite fascinating?.
And I can tell you, if I were to go for three months sabbatical, it would be me and my Bible. Paying close attention to words in-between lines just to make sure I pick what the Holy Ghost has to say. One of the greatest privileges I have had is to be taught by this great teacher; ‘The Holy Ghost’. You think you know, wait until the master of the archives of knowledge shows up. I have seen Him in action severally and He has always beaten down my expectations.
The way they taught you, ended up not being the way it should be. Have you been in such a situation before?. Maybe I should cite a Bible passage as an example. “But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”---Matthew 8:22 NIV. We should be very familiar with this scriptures but it has on many occasions been interpreted. While growing up, ALL I heard surrounding this scripture was the need to bury our fellow human when they pass on or on the other hand that we will all die.
Does this make sense and all? It depends on the spiritual insight. People go to funerals and preach out of bounds without understand with the suggestion that they are nailing it. Who are ‘the dead’ and who is ‘their dead’?. Maybe we should rewind that scriptures some passages backwards.
Matthew 8:19-22 (NIV). Then a teacher of the law came to him and said, “Teacher, I will follow you wherever you go.” [20] Jesus replied, “Foxes have dens and birds have nests, but the son of man has no place to lay his head.” [21] Another disciple said to him, “Lord, first let me go and bury my father.” [22] But Jesus told him, “Follow me, and let the dead bury their own dead.”
Jesus was releasing a spiritual statement here. We have two sets of persons here; those who are alive but spiritual dead, they lack the discernment of salvation; ‘the dead’ and another who died living a dead life (dying void of salvation); ‘their dead’. Trust me, you wouldn't want to be any of these two and Jesus having compassion on him had to separate him out from this wrong crowd.
There is more to be said but let's drop the curtain here. Understanding scriptural meaning calls for discernment. This is why one needs to invest enough time into Bible study. This goes beyond just reading through scanning and skimming. When you give the Bible enough time, it will in the process open up deep knowledge to you.
