For over a decade now, the news of the decentralized system has been spread to many parts of the world. Benefits have been tabled, governments and individuals have seen it play a vital part in the world of finance, apps and social media. Yes I know, there may be some challenges that need to be resolved, truth be told, the advantage if decentralization beats its disadvantages hands down. So you may be wondering, why has there not been a massive adoption till date. Is it that they fear the decentralized system may not be able to scale? Or perhaps, something else?. You know that old saying, the world is not a fair place, I guess centralization is a perfect fit for that statement.
Anyday the world plays fair, wealth and resources will change hands. Am I saying the rich are robbing the poor? You will have to ask Robinhood, who saw a gap he felt was too unfair. Unfairness kickstarts the moment you lack a say in a system. I have been seeing it happen even when running transactions in my bank account. You know, unnecessary charges in the name of serving you better, they just get it out the moment it drops in your account. The moment that is done, one thing that comes to your mind is, do these people understand that the source that transferred this funds did not include the 'unhealthy charges it had come to meet down here in my account?
He was even changed too for sending the money, so why would he even want to pay for the charge at my own end?. The government wants their tax, the centralized systems are ready to comply but the funny thing is always that they use this medium to take far more than the tax that the government demands.
Can one say manipulation is a fair business? Not at all but it has been how the centralized system has always operated. A friend of mine on the hive chain discussed how the centralized online stores manipulate ratings on their products and services. You know, they have full control of data in the platform. They can delete what threatens their business and promote the ones that give them the needed thumbs up. That is why you always get to buy a fake product from even reliable sources.
The truth is the product was fake but the users rating were annulled which serves as a bait, how discomforting it can be. Robbing a consumer of the right information to me is an unhealthy practice that deters professionalism. The centralized system makes us blind buyers, can utility be gotten from buying blind? Of course not. At another end, the charges you to have to pay from buying products are so huge, I heard one of the top online stores charge a whopping 30%. Could this be a joke? Meaning a product of which was originally $80 dollars is sold for $104 dollars, worse of all when it is burgled with fake products or service you were deprived of the right to properly assess.
A lot of big businesses will be out of business if they adopt decentralized business platforms, I guess that's why they've always been against it. Greed has played a huge part in the finance and business world. Big conglomerates are thriving because they do not play fair. You know a lot of us use channels or platforms or accept some terms and conditions not actually because we want to but because we are choiceless. I guess we are one way or the other trapped in a system that burdens us.
There were times I used to give a lot of credits to some big businesses, yes I must say it's not easy to push business to mega heights. Nevertheless, I have come to realize that some reach this heights at the discomfort of their consumers. If you think you are playing fair, move to the decentralized system, let me see your original rating, original products and service comments, that unbiased pricing which brings out the necessary satisfaction from products and services. Are we saying, professional business cannot thrive in a decentralized system? Not at all, the truth is a lot are not ready to correct their wrongs.
I always tell friends, starting something negative may be difficult but ending it will be far too difficult. They've made a lot of sales and increased their boundaries as long as the process remains this way. We may not be able to get them out of business but I guess we can change our business. We need to show more support and patronage to decentralized systems. If decentralized stores could grow to the level of competing with these big centralized giants it will be unstoppable. Unfairness in business and finance has made life unbearable for the masses.
The simplest definition of centralization is 'take it through discomfort' and we have been under this discomfort spell for a long time. The comfort has arrived through blockchain technology and they are fighting it. Must man always rob man before he attains wealth? Don't know for you but I know how discomforting I get when I actually have to lose money to a centralized system especially the banks. They just snatch money from your account as if it's theirs. I put my head together to make the money and you just stay somewhere and deduct whatever you wish, come on, how unfair can it get?
To conclude let me add, as long as centralized systems continue to prevail, life, businesses and transactions will continue to be unfair. That's what it was designed for, to take from those who are not privileged to know more. Many people and parts of the world have continued to live in discomfort not because there is not enough money or resources but because of the means through which it is distributed. As long as man is concerned, greed can never make a fair centralized system, we all know this. The world in it current system is pushing wealth to certain set of people and indeed it's not fair.
