The passing of the years makes us carriers of experiences that could be valuable. It is a dimension of life in which most will one day enter. There are setbacks, fears and complaints, but there is also resilience and courage, which bring a serene satisfaction with life.
An old man was walking in the woods when he heard a weak voice at his feet. He bent down and discovered that the one who spoke to him was a frog:
- I am a beautiful and sensual princess, skilled in all the pleasures of the flesh and the love. The bad queen turned me into a frog, but if you give me a kiss I will be who I was again and I will give you all the joys that my voluptuous nature and my ardent concupiscence can produce.
The old man raised the frog and threw it into his pocket. The frog confused the head and asked why he did not kiss her:
"At my age," he replied, "it's more fun to have a talking frog than a sex freak."
We are all enrolled in the school of life, where the teacher is the time. Life can only be understood by looking back. But it can only be lived by looking forward. In youth we learn with the age we understand.
