Hola amigos feliz tarde a todos espero se encuentren super bien , en nuestra isla hoy es un día especial ya que se celebra el cumpleaños de nuestra patrona de oriente la Virgen del Valle , aunque yo no soy la más devota mi abuela si lo es y estoy segura que su fé y fortaleza nos a ayudado a seguir adelante, actualmente mi abuelita no puede ir en estas fechas a la basílica del Valle ya que hay demasiada gente y también hace mucho calor por lo tanto no es lo más conveniente para su salud , mi mejor amiga todos los años le lleva como ofrenda una torta a la virgen y yo decidí acompañarla así no solo la acompañaba a ella si no que iba a representar a mí abuela enbestas fechas aunque ella siempre dice que su amor y fé la lleva en el corazón.
Hello friends, happy afternoon to everyone; I hope you are doing wonderfully. Today is a special day on our island as we celebrate the feast of the Virgin of the Valley, the patron saint of the eastern region. Although I am not particularly devout myself, my grandmother certainly is, and I am sure that her faith and strength have helped us keep moving forward. Currently, my grandmother cannot visit the Basilica of the Valley during this time because it is too crowded and the heat is intense—conditions that aren't ideal for her health. Every year, my best friend takes a cake as an offering to the Virgin, and I decided to join her; this way, I could not only keep her company but also represent my grandmother during the celebration, even though she always says she carries her love and faith in her heart.
El año pasado tuvimos que hacer una cola enorme para poder entrar a la iglesia este año había mucha gente Pero no fue necesario hacer cola , como pudimos logramos ver a la virgen y mi amiga llevarle su ofrenda , no nos quedamos a la misa y la verdad no estaba en mis planes así que luego quisimos dar un pequeño paseo , el Valle está lleno de gastronomía y muchas artesanías la verdad es un lugar muy lindo para pasar en familia y reanudar nuestra fé.
Last year, we had to wait in a huge line to get into the church; this year, there were a lot of people, but we didn't have to queue. We managed to see the Virgin and for my friend to present her offering. We didn't stay for Mass—which honestly hadn't been part of our plans anyway—so afterwards, we decided to take a short walk. The Valley is full of great food and handicrafts; it really is a lovely place to spend time with family and renew our faith.
Fuimos a desayunar aunque yo estoy a dieta y ya había desayunado jajajaj Pero mi amiga me invitó a comer y por supuesto acepte, si voy a comer empanadas siempre pediré de pescado es mi favorita la amo demasiado como buena margariteña que soy por supuesto acompañado de un buen papelón, un niño nos regaló una linda pulsera bendecida estuvo muy lindo su gesto .
We went out for breakfast, even though I’m on a diet and had already eaten—haha! But my friend invited me, so of course I said yes. If I’m having empanadas, I always order the fish ones; they’re my absolute favorite—I love them so much, being a true native of Margarita Island. Naturally, I paired it with a nice papelón drink. A young boy gave us a lovely blessed bracelet; it was such a sweet gesture.
Hacía demasiado calor así que nos comimos un raspado que nos alivio del calor , como todos los años todo súper hermoso y pues si vienen a margarita en estas fechas no duden en ir a ver nuestra basílica de Valle y visitar a la patrona de Oriente.
It was sweltering, so we had a shaved ice treat that really cooled us down. As always, everything was absolutely beautiful; if you come to Margarita during this time of year, be sure to visit the Basilica del Valle and pay your respects to the Patroness of the East.
