Visitando a la Basílica de la Virgen del Valle, en el Valle del Espíritu Santo. isla de Margarita [ESP-ENG]

Hola, amigos de Hive Margarita. Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes una experiencia cargada de fe, paz y muchísima energía bonita. Nos fuimos a visitar a nuestra amada Virgencita del Valle que es la patrona de los margariteños y de verdad que el viaje fue una Bendición de principio a fin.

Teníamos el tiempo un poco justo, pero entre el tráfico y las ganas de llegar, los tiempos de Dios fueron perfectos. logramos cruzar la entrada del Valle del Espíritu Santo justo a tiempo para oír la misa de las 6:00 p.m. últimamente las temperaturas están tan altas en la Isla que de verdad no provoca salir de casa, Pero estar allí en ese momento, cuando el sol empieza a caer y la brisa margariteña se vuelve más fresca, es una experiencia inolvidable.

Entrar a la Basílica Menor siempre te deja cargada de buenas energías. La iglesia es bellísima, con una arquitectura imponente y unos vitrales que reflejan la luz de una manera celestial. Pero más allá de lo arquitectónico, lo verdaderamente importante es lo que se siente adentro. Hay un silencio respetuoso, una paz profunda que se siente apenas cruzas la puerta. Estar frente a Vallita, ver su mirada tierna y sentir que te escucha, te renueva las energías por completo. Se siente una energía tan pura que es imposible no conmoverse.

Afuera del templo, el ambiente es igual de especial. Los alrededores están llenos de vida gracias a los puestos de artesanías locales. Es bellísimo ver el ingenio de nuestra gente, todo es alusivo a la Virgen. Venden desde imágenes de todos los tamaños, rosarios de madera, collares y pulseras tejidas, hasta llaveros, cuadros y velas. Es el lugar perfecto para llevarse un recuerdo o un detalle para proteger a la familia. Además las sonrisas de los artesanos te hacen sentir en casa.

Algo que es muy particular de estás fechas es la gran cantidad de personas que se acercan. El Valle es un punto de encuentro nacional. Viene gente de muchísimos lugares de toda Venezuela que viaja exclusivamente a la isla para pagar promesas, agradecer por la salud, por la familia o por un milagro concedido. Es increíble ver los testimonios de fe. De igual forma, el fervor local es impresionante; muchísimos devotos vienen de diferentes rincones de aquí mismo, de nuestra hermosa Isla de Margarita, organizando caminatas kilométricas llenas de cánticos y oraciones solo para llegar a los pies de la Patrona de Oriente.

Hello, friends of Hive Margarita. Today I want to share with you an experience filled with faith, peace, and so much positive energy. We went to visit our beloved Virgencita del Valle, who is the patron saint of the people of Margarita, and truly, the trip was a blessing from start to finish.

We were a little short on time, but between the traffic and our eagerness to get there, God’s timing was perfect. We managed to cross the entrance to the Valle del Espíritu Santo just in time to attend the 6:00 p.m. Mass. Lately, the temperatures on the island have been so high that it really doesn’t feel like leaving the house, but being there at that moment—when the sun begins to set and the Margarita breeze turns cooler—is an unforgettable experience.

Stepping into the Minor Basilica always leaves you filled with positive energy. The church is absolutely beautiful, with imposing architecture and stained-glass windows that reflect the light in a heavenly way. But beyond the architecture, what truly matters is how you feel inside. There’s a reverent silence, a deep peace that you feel the moment you walk through the door. Standing before Vallita, seeing her tender gaze, and feeling that she’s listening to you completely renews your energy. You feel such pure energy that it’s impossible not to be moved.

Outside the church, the atmosphere is just as special. The surrounding area is full of life thanks to the local craft stalls. It’s beautiful to see the creativity of our people—everything is inspired by the Virgin. They sell everything from statues of all sizes, wooden rosaries, and hand-woven necklaces and bracelets to keychains, paintings, and candles. It’s the perfect place to pick up a souvenir or a small gift to protect your family. Plus, the artisans’ smiles make you feel right at home.

Something that’s very unique about this time of year is the large number of people who come here. El Valle is a national gathering place. People come from all over Venezuela, traveling exclusively to the island to fulfill vows, give thanks for good health, for their family, or for a miracle that has been granted. It’s incredible to witness these expressions of faith. Likewise, the local fervor is impressive; countless devotees come from different corners of our own beautiful Margarita Island, organizing kilometer-long walks filled with hymns and prayers just to reach the feet of the Patroness of the East.
