Greetings to all the friends of #Holos-Lotus.I approach to "the other shore" attracted by the # 2 initiative that @Maylink proposes to us about "what we shut up", because silence is a beautiful and sublime kingdom which I declare myself as a citizen although I will try to appreciate the weight of what we shut up and its effects on the body and soul.
In my country there is a saying that, from my perspective, makes an extreme assessment about silence: "The man owns what is silent and slave to what he says."
Seen this way, it is preferable to carefully choose our conversation issues, tame the words to serve the common good.Jesus was silent, in front of his accusers;Dietrich Bonhofer, took refuge in divine grace, rather than falling into the marasm of words.I, however, am a prisoner of speech, like active communication, establish dialogue even with strangers;Comment on art, philosophy, sports, politics, ect.I like to describe, tell stories, improvise verses and flatter beauty (inside or outside the established patterns) but, when it comes to my own pain or others, when the wound is deep in the soul, when the scaller of disappointment and sadness immerses itself in the soul; So it's time to shut up and wait.Letting the pain season your whole body and to be shown as it is, to define how to treat it.A biblical proverb says: "The one who sings songs to the afflicted heart is like the one who pours vinegar on the soap or as the one who takes off his clothes in cold time."
For that reason, I care carefully how I manifest myself according to my emotional states and, if the tide of feelings is growing, I keep silent and I hope, not to hurt, not to harm the words that at the time of emotion usually behave like small beasts.
I am aware that accumulating regret, ends up damaging us physically, psychologically and spiritually, that one can be lost in the harmful fields of a spiteful silence, that if you do not have the training and maturity necessary to deal with the loneliness of being as a resource, it is better to expel fears, or pain, disappointments and empty the soul of events and polluting situations.
I, as a citizen (parish) of silence, decide cautious, when and how much I am going to say, I love freedom and although I assume with responsibility everything I say, I prefer to be judged for my discretion and my silence.
One more thing; There are areas where I don't like being silent. For example: I always say my wife and children, how much I love them and how much they mean for me, I also reprimand them with authority when I think they go to error.I do not support injustice and, where it manifest there I declare my desagree with it, I don't ever hide information that could be useful to others.
I know that ruminate anger, fear and spite, usually becomes a time bomb that, when it explote out, it will end with everything. My alter ego and I, we exchanged verses, share a cup of coffee and talk for a long time so that the words revolted in resentment do not find room for me and get hurt or hurt others. It is certainty complex, I know, but there are ways not to shut up, which manifest from silence.
I want to close my post today, wishing you liked it and that my soliloquy could be understood and before saying goodbye, thanking you for reading, for your patience and the opportunity to share my experiences with you, I leave you one last saying: "It is better to say nothing, if there is nothing to say."
