This is pretty awkward, usually I try to write at least a couple of posts every week, but this time I've really let myself go. The thing is that I really wasn't feeling like writing a post at all, mostly because I'm a little bit preoccupied with other IRL stuff.
This past week I've been meeting with a bunch of government instances & accountants in order to set up my own company. That worked out somewhat well (except for one thing), but dealing with all the Belgian bureaucracy around it had really drained my drive to write on Steem.
Dealing with all the paperwork, I had apparently made a mistake when starting my company. A few days ago, I received a somewhat angry letter from some government instance, saying that I had made a mistake with the creation of my company & that I needed to fix it or have to pay a fine.
Now, I created my company through a specialized service (Xerius) that basically does everything for you, so I was quite surprised that something went wrong there. Now I'll have to meet up with the people who've started up my company, this specialized service, and make sure that everything was done correctly.
I'm Back Though...
Since most of my other work is just about done, I'll become active again on Steem. Seems like a complete waste to not take advantage of the rising Steem price, plus I've really missed writing when I think about it.
In fact, I've gotten another paid writing gig, for which I'll be publishing a post tomorrow normally. It's quite fun to get contacted to write about cool services, this really turns Steem into quite a lucrative deal for me. So much, that I don't really care too much about the post rewards anymore. Engagement is a lot more important, it's what my clients like the most too.
The couple of paid articles I've written really had some amazing comments and the companies that hired me have reacted very positively to that.
It's good to be back! Let me know if you've experienced similar stuff, which prevented you to write on Steem. I'd love to hear about it in the comment section!
