Still warm, though gone
original poetryStill warm
.How slight the crinkle
Of distortion which creeps
Around the edges of peace
.
Through nights of lonely reflections &
Days of exuberance that bounce between
The mountainsides, steadfast & silent.
.
In the emptiness of memory,
You come to me warm as smoke.
Though gone
.
In the eventide glow
Where dreams intersect
With worldly aspirations
.
How true do the words of magic ring!
.
How lofty pulls the tine of fate to sing!
.
How luminous the fading of the sun.
.
Through your absence I glean
Fullness of your love.
